About our school – LITHUANIA - school in Sangrūda

SANGRŪDA SECONDARY SCHOOL Sangrūda is a village 10 km to the east from Kalvarija district and 4 km from boarder of Poland. In 1738 Sangrūda is mentioned as Royal for the first time. After dwiling court lands a village has formed. The Church was built in 1925. Now there live about 400 people; is a post office, dispencary, secondary school, a recreation centre, a library (is built 1948). 1940 – it was fuonded primary school ( in the mill). 1945-1949- pro-gymnasium. 1949-1952- seven years school. POLAND 1952-2009- secondary school. Now at school there are learning 370 pupils. There work 37 teachers, a murse, a psychologist, social pedagogue. There are 19 classrooms. We have big library, where children can use compiuters, take various books. School has own bus, canteen, gym, crafts class.. Our school`s pupils together with teachers take part and win various projects.
